Capture the journey of Nunavut's first utility-scale solar energy project in Naujaat!
Kivalliq Alternative Energy (KAE) is seeking a videographer based in the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut to capture the construction of the Ikayuut Solar and Energy Storage Project in Naujaat. This is a unique opportunity for a local videographer to play a pivotal role in documenting a transformative clean energy project from the ground up.
Project Scope
Location: Naujaat, Nunavut
Timeline: Fall 2024 – Spring 2026
Travel: 5-10 trips to Naujaat over approximately 1.5 years
Focus: Capture high-quality ground and aerial footage of construction activities, key milestones,
community engagement and training initiatives, and the project’s broader impact.
Deliverables
High-quality photographs
Ground and aerial video footage (drone operation required)
Optional: Assist in producing a final project video (video editing skills are an asset but not mandatory)
Requirements
Based in the Kivalliq Region with availability for travel to Naujaat
Drone operation and aerial filming capabilities
Ability to submit a detailed quote, including travel costs
Optional: Video editing and production capabilities

About the Ikayuut Solar and Energy Storage Project
Nunavut's first utility-scale solar project, Ikayuut, will provide 30% of Naujaat’s electricity demand with clean, locally-produced energy, reducing diesel dependence and associated carbon emissions. ‘Ikayuut’ means "help, support, or resources" in Inuktitut.
